Recently I had an appointment with a state official who looked over my retirement application. I was fascinated/creeped-out that the meeting was held in this Oregon Fish & Wildlife conference room. They should pay more attention to feng-shui, maybe?
Elsewhere in the news: spring has finally arrived in western Oregon. The sun is out!
Just for fun, this is a short video of cuckoo clocks. They drove me crazy in Lake Titisee Germany last year:
we have one like that - funny when they are in your home you never hear them. I was in a grandfather clock store once. we staid 15 minutes just to hear the chines on the 1/4 hour. thank goodness spring has arrived.
ReplyDeleteBizarre to have a bear splatted on your wall, whoever you are. Looks very strange accompanied by the modern metallic chairs.
ReplyDeleteAn old uncle used to have a cuckoo clock, as a child I was mesmerized by it and would look forward to visiting him just to listen to the cuckoo clock.
ReplyDeleteYes, a creepy room to be considering retirement with such an unfortunate retired bear. And the cuckoo clock video was a hoot...sounds like two of them went off but not the rest. But it was probably impossible for the store owner to keep them all on the same time. And did I hear a bird chirping or was it cuckoo "lite". Great post.
ReplyDeleteThat bear photo is CRAZY (in a good way)!
ReplyDeleteNothing like sharing a room with the remains of a dead thing when discussing something that could be difficult. Bizarre. I like the idea of a shadow to portray the passing of time.
